Volunteering is a great way to both have a positive impact on a community or to make a difference on an issue that is important to you. It is also a good way to gain office or voluntary sector experience.
Some of the activities our volunteers get involved in are:
- Administration
- Fundraising
- Campaigning
- Data collection
- Helping with the newsletter
There are a wide range of projects volunteers can help with, from access to records to leaving care or looking at issues faced by black and minority ethnic young people in care.
In return for volunteers' donation of their time, the CLA provides expenses to cover out of pocket expenses, such as travel costs. We can also provide references for our volunteers for the work that they carry out, which can be useful for future employment.
